Stripping Coax without the right tool can be irritating without the proper tool. Sure it can be done with a pair of scissors and some experience, but, why waste your time when it can be done in a few seconds.
Step One: Strip Black insulation from coaxial cable with one squeeze.
Step Two: Fold back the shield and 1 more squeeze cut for the white foam.
Step Three: Trim shield back to around 1/8 inch from black insulation.
Step Four: Screw on Connector.
Tips: Example. You are screwing on a PL-259 to some RG-8 coax. I usually lightly twist the multi strand center conductor of the coax with a pair of pliers. Barely squeeze edge of center conductor of coax and twist clock wise. Make it smooth. This makes sure the center strands do not wind down when the connector is screwed on the coax. When all strands come out the thing end of the connector you know you have done it right. Time to solder.
They also have coax stripping kits.
